What Ramadan in Makkah is actually like

Expect very large crowds, especially at Maghrib, Isha and Taraweeh. Iftar is served across the mataf and courtyards, and the atmosphere is unlike anything else in the world. It is also physically demanding: long standing in Taraweeh and Qiyam, fasting in a dry climate, and walking through dense crowds.
