Iraq Ziyarat Packages from Bareilly: Najaf, Karbala and Baghdad Guide

Iraq Ziyarat Package from Bareilly

Alongside Umrah and Hajj, many families in Bareilly wish to visit the holy sites of Iraq. Najaf, Karbala, Baghdad, Kadhimiya and Samarra carry deep historical and spiritual significance, and organised group travel makes what would otherwise be a complicated trip straightforward.

Cities covered on a typical Iraq Ziyarat tour

Najaf — home to the shrine of Imam Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and a centre of Islamic learning for centuries. Wadi us-Salaam, one of the world’s largest cemeteries, lies nearby.

Karbala — the site of the events of Ashura, with the shrines of Imam Hussain and Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). For most pilgrims this is the emotional centre of the journey.

Baghdad and Kadhimiya — the resting place of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah have mercy on him) draws visitors from across the subcontinent, particularly during Gyarvi Sharif.

Samarra — historic shrines and the famous spiral minaret of the Great Mosque.

Our Iraq Ziyarat packages

We operate the Iraq Ziyarat Tour Package from ₹98,000 and the Gyarvi Sharif Iraq Ziyarat Package from ₹98,000, both listed on our Ziyarat packages page.

What is usually included

Iraq visa assistance, return airfare, hotel accommodation near the shrines, meals, intercity transport between Najaf, Karbala and Baghdad, guided visits and an experienced group leader who speaks the language and knows the local procedures.

Documents and visa

An Iraqi visa is required for Indian passport holders, and requirements are revised periodically. You will generally need a passport with adequate validity, photographs, and confirmed travel and hotel bookings. Because the process differs from the Saudi system, we handle the documentation and confirm current requirements at the time of booking.

Best time to travel

Iraq’s summers are extremely hot. The cooler months from around October to March are far more comfortable for elderly pilgrims. Arbaeen and Gyarvi Sharif periods carry enormous crowds — spiritually powerful, but requiring early booking and physical preparation.

Practical advice

Travel light, carry prescribed medication with documentation, keep a printed copy of your hotel and group details, and stay with your group in crowded shrine areas. Modest dress is expected throughout.
